So... I changed. As in xangas. My new one is http://www.xanga.com/foreversunshine97

"I'm trying to picture how you milk a banana"
"It's flavored, dearie."
"Oh... like chocolate or strawberry milk?"
"Yeah."
That was one of the many conversations at dinner today. My cousins are here and they are quite funny.

So I'm having crazy mixed emotions at the moment. I want to go back, but yet... I easily could just stay here and pick up where I left off last September. Staying here would be too easy though, and I'm not one for a easy life because easy means boring. I don't like boring. BUT.. easy is comfortable and that's nice. And I really DO miss my friends at NYP. I guess that's just... life.

So I think I got to see everyone and do everything I was hoping to. Wednesday I hung out with Penni and it was so fun wandering Park City with her and hearing about her life and just spending good time with her. Then that night I had a little get together here with some people from my youth group. It was soo good to see Julie, Beth, Becky, Josiah, and Kim again. I think Josiah and I figured out that it's literally been a YEAR since we've talked. I had seen most everyone else in April but he was MIA. Uhm... we went swimming even though it was kinda cold, then I showed them a bunch of pictures of life in Dryden. They say they want to visit... hmm.

Thursday I hung out at my Grandma's for the day. I went and picked up my cousin Ellen and we visited some of our cousins at various places... it was fun. I got to see my Grandpa's business and a few of my uncles that own it... and I saw my cousin Lavern too, but Nevin wasn't there... I hear he's quite tall (like 6'5) and I'm pretty sure when I saw him in April... he didn't look tall. So I was hoping I could see that... but I'm sure I'll see him the next time I'm home. Later that night I went to see Hairspray with K-ho, Penni, Carolyn, and her friend Jess. It was a very cute movie. After that, Carolyn, Jess, and I went to Square One for coffee. Good memories. I miss that coffee shop. I miss REAL coffee shops in general.

Friday was good... I slept in a bit, then went to TJ Rockwell's with Kate and Justine. Then we ended up talking about random stuff at Kate's house and it was so good. I missed them a lot too. I came home, ate dinner with my family and then met up at Starbucks at Barnes and Noble with Danita. We weren't really sure what to do so... we went to Park City.

Saturday I hung out with Beth and Becky again... went to Fuddruckers in Harrisburg... awesome place. Came home and my cousins were here. Well, some of them are my cousins. Some are not. Then today was church and yeah... it was odd being there again, but yet it was so normal that I just really miss it. And catching up with old friends is always good. AND hearing that Natasha is finally engaged was good too. Oh boy, MORE weddings.

So yeah. I leave in two hours.

Maybe I should take Beth and Josiah up on their offer to kidnap me.

Or maybe I should just go back.

Ok, well, here I am... at HOME. Oh, it's sooo good! My awesome, amazing friends Katie, Carolyn, Penni, and Johanna came to my house to surprise me... I knew it was a possibility but didn't expect them to show up until after I got home... but there they were, in my driveway when we drove in. It felt so normal to be with them again... I missed them a LOT.

Indiana was a great time... caught up with Myra, met a few of her friends and yeah, had a good time with her... She leaves tomorrow for GEORGIA to teach school. Annnd... I got to see HEIDI. Oh, that was so much fun, spending time with her... going for coffee... good times.

Anyways, that's all for now... I haven't even seen my MOM yet... she's still at work, and she'll e home soon so...

Well the time has come. I finally get to go HOME! Ok, so I leave today, but I actually won't be in Etown till Tuesday. I'm gonna be in Indiana with Myra for a few days. I can't wait to see that girl again. But at the same time, I keep thinking of the things I'll miss here! I mean... what if something exciting happens while I'm gone?!  And I have to entrust various parts of my job to various people! Oh well, I have faith in their abilities.

Boy, tons has happened since I last wrote. Family Camp, people leaving, people visiting, tons of laughter, a few hard times. But through it all, God has been good. Very good.

Anyways, I'll try to really update when I'm at home. ...If I have time. I have more time this time around but still. Life gets pretty crazy when you go home for a visit.

Well... better go. I don't want Sharon to leave without me!

I think… that I can safely say that last Tuesday was one of the best birthdays I have had. Although I gotta admit, when I woke up at an unearthly hour because of the rain pouring down outside… I was not impressed with July 10. Not to sound fussy or anything, but I was kinda hoping for sunshine and warmth. And to top it off, I was exhausted from… well, life I guess. So anyways, July 10 wasn’t so great when I first got up. I went into town with Shelah and we did our stuff… got yummy food at Tim’s and chatted as we drove the huge town of Dryden. We got back right before lunch, which was set out so we could have my birthday dinner that night. I still was not feeling very celebratory and just wanted to sleep. Anyways, after lunch, I headed back to the office and that’s when I started noticing a few things. First, a few people just acted… differently. Not weird, just like they knew something. Second, Dallas was in Janel and Janelle’s office (that’s not very normal), they were talking about something, and then they quit talking when I came in. I kinda ignored it, but did accuse them of conspiring against me. Anyways, I started my various tasks when Janelle randomly came to my desk and started asking… interesting questions like “so how’s your birthday going? Good, that’s good to hear. Oh, look, a note from Darla. That’s cool.” At this point, I heard a car pull in and started to stand up to see who it was. Janelle tried to distract me but it was too late. It was two of my aunts, Karen and Pricilla, along with my cousin Katrina and close friend Alicia! They had decided to come up for the afternoon./evening for my birthday! That was soo special having them here. It turned a not so cheery day into a day that will forever be in my memories. Thanks so much, Karen, Pricilla, Katrina, and Alicia for being here. And thanks to everyone else who helped pull it off. Apparently everyone knew about it and they all kept it a secret.

So being 20 really doesn’t feel much different. I really didn’t think it would, but whatever.

In the beginning if July, I had the opportunity to go “home” for a bit. It was great being with family again and reconnecting with them. I truly do love the Layman family and feel so blessed that God placed me in such a loving family. Oh, man. I’m getting forgetful. I totally mentioned going home already… oh well, now ya’ll heard it twice.

Anyways, here are a few pictures from the past few weeks… they pretty much sum up my life right now.
